Art Nouveau Motifs

I love natural undulating designs from the Art Nouveau period. Here are some gorgeous wallpapers and motifs - some from the period and some inspired by the period. Aren't they dreamy? I wish I could afford to do this kind of filigree in my home. Someday!

Leo Posillico

I recently inherited two interesting pieces of art due to a family move. They are by Leo Posilico, an artist I was not previously aware of. These two prints did not fit into my home right away, but now that they are on the walls, I'm really enjoying them. One is entitled, "Artists Have All the Fun" and depicts a janitor cleaning after a gallery viewing. The other is called "Uncontrollable Season" and is pictured at the bottom.

Tufted Love

Tufted furniture is now on my list. I have never been drawn to it before. It always seemed reserved for my grandpa's old chair or glitzy Hollywood Regency styles. But now, I'm seeing beautiful, fresh tufted pieces used in the most unlikely places. I'm keeping my eyes peeled for something vintage.

Vintage Melbourne

Neryl Walker's home in Melbourne is my new favorite retro spot! She and her husband have filled their sweet home with thousands of fabulous vintage finds and original art. Check out the rest of the photos at The Design Files.

Hand Picked

No theme today. Just random, beautiful, lovely things I've collected and stashed away in a file for someday.

Sweet Sweet Life

I got an unexpected gift today, a shout out for La Maison Boheme at Sweet Sweet Life. Amy, thank you - you made my week! I also found some fabulous photos of Amy's home on Flickr that are definitely worth sharing. Isn't her home just lovely?
